What is an Electrical Compliance Certificate?
An Electrical Compliance Certificate covers the inspection and certification of your electrical installation from the point of supply to the point of control. It is required to ensure that your electrical installation is safe and in line with current code of practice, or date of installation.In terms of the Occupational Health and Safety ACT of 1993 (Act 85 of 1993), a change of ownership cannot take place unless you have a valid Electrical Certificate of Compliance. In order to get this certificate, your electrical installations must comply with SANS 10142-1 Regulations.
How it works:
A qualified and registered electrician will come to your property in Cape Town to do the inspection.
If the electrical installation is compliant we will issue your certificate at no additional cost to the inspection fee.
If the installation does not meet the regulation we will formulate a report and we will quote you on the necessary repairs required.
If you accept the quotation we will arrange an appointment for the repairs to be done.
A Bugs & Sparks electrical repair team will efficiently undertake the repairs.
Once the repairs have been completed we will issue your Electrical Compliance Certificate.
